Ela’s Top 3 Girls Games

To be honest i’m not happy with the title at all – it should be “3 videogames you should try playing – give them a shot ’cause they are cute, creative and magical”, or something like that, but i didn’t have enough space.

it is a fact that most gamers are male – that’s because the main target group of the videogame industry are (obviously) young men. of course there are lots of games out there designed for girls, but i want to give you 3 examples of games which may not come to mind at first and don’t involve any dancing/singing, creating a family or candy crushing.

at this point i want to say that there shouldn’t even be said “this is a game for girls, that is a game for boys” – play whatever floats your boat.

i personaly don’t enjoy playing realistic military/war games – instead i love to explore creative worlds & stories.

i know lots of guys playing videogames having non-gaming-girlfriends and that’s perfectly fine – until she gets jealous at his computer or console. maybe you are kind of jealous at your boyfriends computer too – i can give you (unfortunately) only one advice: accept that it is his passion/hobby like your passion is maybe fashion and beauty and show interest. isn’t he the one who’s listening to you admiring these shoes you saw and going shopping with you from time to time? (if he doesn’t ditch him! ;))

if you really don’t know what to do with yourself while he is playing or you just got curious and want to try playing some games for yourself just let me inspire you with these 3 adventurous, fun games i picked out for you.

#1 Child of Light (Ubisoft, 2014) – PC, PS 3, PS 4, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS Vita

while your boyfriend is probably shooting someone’s head off you’re enjoying and exploring the beautiful world “Lemuria”. you are playing Aurora, an austrian (patriotism yay) cute little girl, who’s sick and falls into a deep sleep. you awake in the fantasy world “Lemuria” and your goal is to find your way back to your caring father – the duke. a little blue glowing firefly helps you to defeat dark creatures. nice music, a beautiful artwork and rhyming conversations make this game unique and perfect to start with.

#2 Little Big Planet 1-3 (Sony, 2008/2011/2014) – PS3, PSP, PS Vita

if you want to play something with your beloved – try the jump’n’run game Little Big Planet. LBP 1 and 2 are already released and you are playing Sackboy, a sweet little burlap. in different worlds and maps you are able to collect wigs, costumes and accessories to style your Sackboy. if you’re very creative you can also create your own maps to challenge yourself. this is really one of the cutest games i played and i’m looking forward to the release of LBP 3 in November 2014.

#3 The Wolf Among Us (Telltale Games, 2013) – PC,PS 3,PS Vita, Xbox 360

in this adventure game you are playing Bigby Wolf – the sheriff of fabletown where fairytale characters live charmed as humans (“mundies”). Bigby is the antihero, the Big Bad Wolf who has to hide these fairytale characters and to enforce the laws of fabletown. i love that there are lots of characters like Snow White, Beauty and the Beast in the game even if it’s a fairytale gone bad. it’s fun to expose crimes as Bigby and i really like the idea of episodes like in a tv series. always thrilling!

i can only say it is really worth checking these games out, i enjoy playing all of them and i’m sure that these are not typical “boy/girl games”. i’m always happy about feedback and curious if you like the games ;)

have fun and stay yummy

That LBP3 sounds awesome. You would have to teach me how to play with a console, though, because I am an absolute noob when it comes to playing with playstation controllers ^^
