i didn’t go anywhere for holiday this summer and it was totally fine. then i checked a reserve memory card for my sony and found old pics from my journey to north (& west) india. i went there with my ex-boyfriend, his friend and the family of his friend (too complicated? nevermind…) about 4 years ago. i instantly wanted to take any flight anywhere to get far far away, but as a good student i can’t do that right now. some day i want to travel to south india as well.
i’m so thankful that i had the chance to really get to know the culture by living with indian families. it was an amazing trip: beautiful colours (especially all the saris), very nice food (although i had to be very careful not getting too spicy food), wonderful people and stunning buildings/architecture. since then i’m addicted to chai and exotic fruits.
by looking at the pictures i realised how i changed the last years – not only on the outside (i had very short hair – never again :D) but mostly on the inside. i’m a stronger woman now and love to be independent. i think it’s inevitable to think about your life in india, ’cause there’s just this spiritual aura surrounding you all the time. i know this sounds very cheesy, but that’s how i felt.
i don’t want to keep these impressions back from you and i really hope you’re enjoying them!
where would you love to be right now? what’s the best place you’ve ever been to?
